Bellringers

Details

The Bellringers of St Bartholomew’s Church ring 6 famous bells, most of which date back to 1620, although the old wooden frame has been replaced with a modern steel one. Experienced ringers are always needed. Adults and children are welcome to learn if they are prepared to be loyal members of the tower. Ringing for the Sunday 11.00 am service starts at 10.30. Special occasions are also marked by ringing. The Yarnton team is affiliated to the Oxford Diocesan Guild of Bellringers. Practice nights 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month at 7.30 pm. If you are interested in learning to ring (or perhaps returning to bellringing) please contact the Tower Captain (details below).
